Some animation homework tonight. I did a double feature of 1973’s Fantastic Planet and 1985’s Angel’s Egg. I knew there would be things I didn’t like in both of these but there were a lot of things to like too. They ended up complementing each other well! @Diatron5 @jeffzwarren

This is another feature I’ve been meaning to check out for years, and it was really good. Quirky designs and a heartfelt story with some crazy good fight animation!

Melodrama forces Goemon into the role of assassin with Oda Nobunaga in his sights. Lone Wolf and Cub’s Tomisaburo Wakayama plays a pre-Blofeld cat loving Nobunaga. I was surprised this ended up being a “gangster trying to escape the crime world” film.
