Flats!
Flats are super good for working out whether your colours are going to work. If your flats don't work, your shading definitely is NOT.
I also do a lot of colour holds on my linework, this helps to knock some detail back, and make the characters pop.

With 15 days left of the campaign, I thought I would do a wee thread of a Nether Realms page from thumbs to colours
Thumbs are the first pass at figuring out how a layout might work. I find colour blocks helpful in hashing things out.

@EllJWalker Pls make Magorian just look terrible. Horrible goblin hours (also, it’s embarrassing how far back I had to scroll through my art to find a drawing of him with clothes on. What is wrong with me)
