“Franco keeps Spain’s peace” – 🇪🇸 Spanish poster from 1944 showing death flying over Europe, having ravaged all of Europe. Spain stands out as a beacon of peace among the carnage
🇫🇮 Some more postcards featuring the Maiden, mostly from the 1910s
Here's one of my favourites:
“Rush towards the monster!!” – 🇫🇷 Le Petit Journal cover illustration from 1914. Soldiers from France, Britain, Russia, Belgium and Serbia charge the German/Austro-Hungarian dragon.
🇮🇹/ 🇪🇷 Italian postcard celebrating the Eritrean askaris who fought with the Italian Army in the early 20th century. Presumably published some time during or just after the Second Italo-Abyssinian War of 1935-36.
@Jake_Hanrahan @lukepierce100 @PopularFrontCO The designer (Guo Jingxiong, @daxiongart) has designed a number of the graphics that protesters are currently distributing in Hong Kong

"Winter ... the freezing fascist goons will find their graves in the snowdrifts before Moscow" - another Russian winter-themed poster, this one from the Soviet Union, 1941
"The Bulgarian-eater" - 🇬🇷 Greek poster from the Second Balkan War (1913) showing a Greek soldier eating (??) a Bulgarian one
