I've kinda been on a chrome metal cyborg/android girl kick this past month...
079: It's always tempting to change the facial expression of things to the :| face. But I think that would break the reality of the comic. They can't go anywhere that's physically impossible to go. And things don't magically change shape. The world is already interesting enough.
078: So last week I just had my first Chicago Deep Dish pizza, while I was in Chicago for the very first time no less. I enjoyed it! I think it doesn't beat my favorite classic New York style slices of pizza but to each their own.
It's #BatmanDay , if you don't already know I draw the best Batman, Cassandra Cain, a lot.
@RubberNinja Oh man, it's been a billion years since I animated anything...
076: I admit, the whole meal at an inn with the host cooking/sake serving thing seems up my alley and I'd like to get it at least once. It just seems so formal and refined and ancient and silly all at the same time. And everyone seems so polite.
075: Got the jibblies seeing this one again. It's kinda cheating to add a straight up Miyazaki character into QD but not really, the Ghibli museum is a real thing and this statue is there! I just needed to place it in the correct context and garden and then add a duck.
074: I don't remember what car I was trying to draw. I know I based it off a photo of a custom car but I don't recall the model. Despite the story taking place in Japan, I think this might be a Porche but I could be wrong.
I actually revisit this strip a year later in the comic.
One of my Patrons asked for a timelapse of how I construct torsos, and I think this April piece is a pretty good example. https://t.co/DMz2DPN98V
