The Spider 🤝 The Spirit
Being constantly fucked over by a guy called The Octopus
I mentioned Marc Spector: Moon Knight from the 90’s earlier and the last volume of this comic gives off a very similar feel. Bad. Sorry. All I can say.
THE SHADOW (1987) by Andrew Helfer, Bill Sienkiewicz and Kyle Baker is a direct continuation of Chaykin’s miniseries. This comic is brilliantly illustrated and fucking hilarious at times. A black comedy in the style of JLI.
THE SHADOW: FIRE OF CREATION by Garth Ennis and Aaron Campbell. This is Ennis in full war story mode, which I’m personally always seated for. And he adds a neat detail to The Shadow’s abilities: he can interrogate the dead.
