Yesterday I decided to draw @goonie_v's character Mercy as a warm-up after coming off of a bad cold, little did I think it would take me into this morning to finish, heh.

I decided to finally get around to making fanart of one of the main influences for me being a digital artist, a tribute to @Ryou_I_02's garage kit character Aria. As of posting this it should be Ryou's 52nd birthday in Japan, 誕生日おめでとう、伊藤さま!♡ ( っ´ω`)っ･ﾟ由✧･ﾟ:*

I decided to work on a proof of concept of what I want to go for using one of my most recent pieces as a basis, redoing the linework and making the palette from scratch to be more dynamic; It may not be the final aesthetic, but I like where it's heading nonetheless.

I do quite enjoy my latest iteration of Derrik, a lot of the thought process for the design is that I wanted to take some of the original elements of the character I wasn't skilled enough to properly portray before and make them more stylized/androgynous, ultimately more unique.
