I'm thinking about the time my aunt's dog got a freelance job and modelled for a photoshoot 🥺💖
I noticed for my current work I've been trying to be more purposeful with my pencil lines, whether it's for texture or helping to describe form. I still like playing with lighting and mood, but I'm figuring out ways to simplify it! Was a slowpoke but now I'm a slowbro heheh
Last year I started to focus more on line n shapes organized by colour, doing digital colour for time/efficiency while hanging onto the texture from pencil lines. My work got more flat, n I realized I really enjoy it but it was hard to mesh with how representational I drew things
I wanted to reflect and bit and find patterns in my past and current work, so here is a mini thread 👀 These four are works from 2015-17 that I still enjoy! I was very attached to traditional media even though it was a struggle. Not shown as much here but I loved strong lighting!
Here are the pieces I made for my zine Medicine Cabinet! The rest under the replies, as well as the medicine drawings that accompanied the text~ Hopefully you will recognize a few 😊

Hi Mallory! You can check out more of my work at https://t.co/4nYFDHidt0 !
(1/2) Since TCAF is coming up this weekend I thought I'd give my books a boost again~ Distant summer is a graphic memoir about my trip to China and Hong Kong 2 summers ago, with recollections of my past trips and my experiences with family!
This time around I'm doing digital colour tests before painting them! They won't turn out exactly but it helped with narrowing down to two colourways for each 😅
