For the Megami Tensei calendar, we have #MegamiMonday for today!

"Megami" means in the most literal sense-- "Goddess," so, all demons in the "Megami" race or category falls under today's focus.

The alignment of this race is also quite strange--

Tzaphkiel is one of the archangels of Judaic lore, with her name meaning along the lines of "The Beholder of God." And, Tzaphkiel is said to be part of the feminine creations of God.

He's one with God, it's #MetatronMonday

Metatron, besides being the name of an awesome transformer, is the voice of God in christian lore. He acts essentially as a lackey for God, allowing him to act as God's vessel.

Today is dedicated to all the Tyrants (Race/Clan) of Megaten, including names such as Lucifer, Satan, Seth, Loki, Mara, Beelzebub, and even Surt.

In Japan, they're known as "Demon King," and, as such, each one of them are the demonic lords in the series.

Although usually depicted with 3 heads, modern illustrations of Cerberus in SMT have depicted him with one head.

The "family" lineage of Cerberus can also date back to another demon found in SMT-- who, strangely enough, is depicted with 2 heads.

It may be a bit of a stretch-- but today is a day to celebrate the best boy in Shin Megami Tensei. Cerberus.

Cerberus comes from Greek myth, where he is portrayed as the guard dog of Hades. The ruler of the Underworld.

Also, believe it or not-- Samael is an archangel of Talmudic lore. And his alignment as portrayed in the lore has been one of ambiguity.

Upon reaching the point of which he was ready-- her undertook trials in order to solidify his lineage as the 14th Raidou Kuzunoha.

After completion, he was assigned a partner. A talking cat named "Gouto-Douji," who would guide him in his upcoming quest.
