heehoohohoho meta design >:) meta represents the metamorphic part of the rock cycle - they're serious and powerful, never saying a word, and totally obedient to their leader sedys. as such igni fucking hates their guts and is always trying to get one up on them

calcite and aragonite are polymorphs which i think is pretty cool, the only difference between them is the shape of their crystal lattice and yet it results in something that can look totally different (though the colours in these pictures are from impurities)

last picspam but im still really happy with rainbow obsidian, i like to think igni gave it to her because they realised their favour with meta and sedys was weakening (because they're the lowest tiered regolith leader) so it was a panicked attempt to defeat haru

rainbow is a form given to obsidian by igni, the ground general of the malevolent regoliths which crystal is fighting against - the form amplifies her emotions tenfold, making it extremely unstable and dangerous
