Stepped away from this painting for a bit and then realized what it needed--3 giant rattlesnakes. What every painting needs really.

I have time to finish this painting! It's based on "the Color out of Space" which is a lesser known Lovecraft, all about spooky aliens infecting crops. Hopefully I can finish at least one more spooky painting before October's out (crossing fingers) #halloween
