Step 7's note about the extra copy of the layers is important imo when you need to re-eyedrop colors you painted over! It's also nice to go back and forth to see the change between rough and clean up!

Establishing a light source early using the environment is definitely helpful when deciding what colors you want to use when rendering! Also again here I like to keep my rough rendering relatively neat so I don't have to do too much work when painting over!

Some people are curious as to how I approach painting so here it is!

Personal tip, try to keep the sketch clean as well as the colors! Sometimes you don't have to make all the base colors perfectly flat, some rough, inconsistent coloring can give it some appeal!
