Poster Pre-Order! I'm going to talk to my printer soon and I'm trying to get an idea how many to order. My poster of Dinosaurs of New Mexico is going up on my website soon. Almost afraid to ask...would you want to buy this for $30 USD?
The only hadrosaur I managed to fit in, I decided to go with the lovely #chonk #Parasaurolophus, specifically P. cyrtocristatus (note the smaller crest) having only been found in NM so far and been making some headlines recently for it's thicc neck
Meet Zuniceratops, one of the earliest ceratopsians. Named for the Pueblo people of the Zuni river valley, the word it's self means 'beauty'. I thought I'd give her New Mexico's favorite color: turquoise.
The 3rd dino in my poster is the Stegoceras. I struggled with this one, I knew I wanted it to be camouflaged but I had a hard time executing my idea. I went off in a few directions before coming back to my original idea inspired by the coat of a juvenile tapir, insta for full list
#1 on my poster is Coelophysis, the state Fossil of New Mexico so how could I not include it? I've drawn this little guy a bunch so I didn't struggle too much and was an easy way to start off this project. Stay tuned to meet the rest of the gang!
still workin away at this one. Personal projects always seem to end up on the back burner if it's not just a sketchbook drawing these days
pushing my bird spots to color for the river trail panel series for Stokes Nature Center.
I need your help guys. I have reason to believe that someone has already stolen my Dimetrodon. If you see it in the wild and it doesn't look like it came from me or it looks a bit off, PLEASE let me know. also share this and let as many people know, this belongs to Rob Soto!
