MANDALORIAN ARMOR was known as Beskar’gam (iron skin) in Mando’a. The highest quality sets were expensive & made of lightsaber-resistant Beskar (Mandalorian Iron), but the high cost & rarity of beskar led to the use of durasteel & alum armor production.

MANDALORE was the 5th planet in the Mandalore in the Outer Rim. The planet was known as MANDA'YAIM in Mandalorian, and was named after the legendary conqueror of this world, Mandalore the First. It meant "Home of the Mand'alor".
