She has a heartbreaking moment at the end of this arc where she fully admits to herself that her father is gone. Good stuff!
... and then it gets brought up 3 more times.
Belle's whole arc couldve solidly ended in the first picture itself. Instead we had to see her unpack her-
And this is treated as a serious mystery for the next several arcs which I can't buy into. Belle comes off as either delusional or a liar depending on how u see it. She's just not a fun character for me to engage with! The charas pick up on this too so the distrust with her grows
She doesn't even look like a badnik tho? So Sonic's jumpiness was super unfounded. So right off the bat there's dissonance between what the characters and audience see. And then she reveals her deal and her creator is supposed to be a mystery... sure HAHA. The cat's out girlie!!
Belle's introduction and characterization felt very contrived and odd to me. Sonic acted very out of character with a sentient robot he just met. Compare their first meeting so Sonic and Emerl's first meeting. Sonic doesn't have a personal bias against robots.
Pet peeve with Belle: shes not a wooden robot, just wood plated
