To start, some context.
Of Canada’s 8 forest regions, the deciduous region is the smallest and most heavily urbanized. It is also one of the only regions truly dominated by deciduous trees.
It is among the most biodiverse regions of the country, housing over 500 rare species.
Being a fantasy show, the writers also include more mythological beasts. (In addition to the more realistic fauna).
There are Dragons, Flying Bison, giant sea serpents and giant sand sharks.
Contrast this with the tropical fire nation, which houses “Komodo Rhinos”, “Flying Dolphin Fish”, “iguana seals”, and “Lion Vultures”.
Was researching seabirds of the Atlantic and came across this guy. The Razorbill.
The Razorbill is the closest living relative of the Great auk, and they really do look alike.
It really makes me miss the Great Auk, what a wonderful little bird we just missed.
Alright time for round 2!
What do all these species have in common?
