...so yaoi definitely isn't my thing but actual mecha parts of the OVA were really cool, it had some great mecha designs, an interesting antagonist alien foe and some lovely action animation. Not seen anything like it before (and we haven't since) but an interesting curio #anime

I followed up last week's watch of Phoenix 2772, with The Phoenix - Space Chapter as I'm on a bit of a Yoshiaki Kawajiri kick at the moment. It's Tezuka's story but you can see Kawajiri's touch all over it, slow but thoughtful & interesting nonetheless #anime
