Serenity is redrawn from the "I'll Punish You!" speech. Tuxedo Mask is from his battle against Rubeus in "Naughty N' Nice".

I think this might be my favorite cover. It's so dynamic and the colors are great! Jupiter is from the episode "Tuxedo Unmasked", while Venus is from the second Japanese R opening. Game Machine Man seems to be an original illustration.

Now this is hilarious. Mars is taken from the first Japanese R intro, but her stomach is exposed! How scandalous. For some reason they've included Wiseman (from the second R intro) even though this VHS has episodes from the first season.

The back of the second volume is taken from stock footage of Queen Beryl that's used throughout the first season.

Mercury's pose is taken from her transformation and now she holds... Mars' transformation pen? Whoops! Moon and Mars are taken from "Birth of Wicked Lady". They forgot the jewels on their tiaras!

I think this is one of the worst offenders. Not only did they give Moon the wrong tiara, but they did an awful job drawing it. Look at how two dimensional it looks! It's like it's tattooed on her forehead. 🥹

Interesting they drew her eyes open. I wonder who did these modifications? It looks too good to be one of Pioneer's in-house artists. The changes on the S and SuperS DVD covers weren't as nice.
