Something that I learned in the process of making @CrittersCult is the value of synthesis in #Pixelart. A small canvas and a reduced palette makes you think way more before taking any decisions. Each pixel has a reason to be and has something to express.

Discovering LOTR and John Howe's art is what made me want to be a painter. Then I went to college to study Visual Arts, and completely left his art aside, as mere "illustrations". Revisiting it now, I can only say I still have a lot to learn. "Argonath" is my homage to Howe, ty.

Lear is a king led to a spiral of madness after making a series of wrong choices driven by vanity and egotism - cherishing those who flattered him and disowning the only person who truly loved him.

As soon as he told me about the Underworld, it came to mind the caverns, monsters, and dramatic light of Gustave Doré illustrations. Couldn't be different that this would be one of my most detailed pieces.
