read this manga very recently after it placed first in the "this manga is great" rankings but it has already wormed into most of my waking thoughts. beautiful art, incredible mood-setting, intrigue, subversion of expectations, gives much to think about

6. oshi no ko

while looking for idol manga i stumbled upon this and was repulsed by the premise. more surprised was i when Every Single Rec List had it. it is, in fact, one of the most grounded and well-executed manga ive ever read. but im not happy about it

2. idolmaster animes

vocaloid history extra credit. i think cinderella girls had my favorite characters (kirari, anzu) but i think i overall liked the spirit and tone of The Idolmaster more, as well as the art style. it did not entice me into playing the games though
