@gmtvarley Then there’s Darus, Derek’s adoptive father. He adopted Derek 3 years after Erica & Alexander were killed. Darus went off the rails a bit after his mother died but worked on pulling himself together after he decided to take in Derek. He enjoys, knitting, baking & annoying Derek.

@gmtvarley Derek has 3 parents. There’s his biological ones, Erica & Alexander. Erica was a wood elf & Alexander a Guardian. Theirs is an enemies to lovers story since they met during the war between Guardians & wood elves.

I asked for some character suggestions a while ago to help me get over an art block & I got so many great suggestions it was hard to choose from. In the end though, I went with Zim from Invader Zim. It was fun drawing outside of my usual style.
