For reference: some pieces from the past year, ~August 2019 up until June 2020. These definitely weren’t awful and I still often sketch like this, but having a side by side really helps to highlight how far I’ve come in just a few months alone

a lil behind the scenes progression of the drawing - I start with a super loose thumbnail sketch to get the idea down, then I move onto shaping it into a sketch (I layed some colours down bc I debated leaving it with sketchy lineart), then I clean up the lineart and lay my flats
