He struggled with his health for the past 25 years due to a stroke he suffered just before I was born, but despite his impeded speech and movement, he never lost his faith or his love for his family. Grandpa, not only can you walk and talk again, but sing and fly.

I like to think that they got along well because they were both named Albert and were avid fishermen. I'm so fortunate to have enjoyed loving relationships with all four of my grandparents and that they all lived to see me become an adult.

Last month, my paternal grandpa (on the right) passed away peacefully on his 88th birthday. This is my 2nd loss of a grandparent, as my maternal grandpa (on the left) passed in 2013. When I heard the news, I decided to remember him the only way I knew how: by #drawing a #comic.
