a secret goal I have this year is to insert myself into as many projects as I can

so here's how that cover is coming along

I kinda spent a lot of 2009-2013 just learning what I could do in photoshop with that mindset of etching, applied it to all sorts of work as much as I could and it kinda built up towards the style I have today

how I got into this style was when I was under an art mentorship as a teenager, I got into etching with pastels and I kinda never really used it til I played around with how light could be depicted in the dark

also applied ink techniques I saw in Moebius and Jeff Smith's inkwork

still working on a mood/crowd

didn't make the connection at first but they modelled Kingpin after Bill Sienkiewicz's work on Daredevil Love and War, they even referenced his work in these comics in brief flashbacks, fuckin let out a yelp when I saw it

me
