Commission of Alejandro Velázquez. A human fighter #DnD character for @portadecastelo, challenging no other than Strahd himself for a battle. What an epic scene to depict!

Then, one day while talking with some friends on discord, I decided to try to sketch it again. And this came out, surprisingly. Different from the previous deleted ones, she had her feet on the floor, giving her this "rock n' roll star" attitude. I loved it.

Testing new process and style from imagination. I always liked charcoal portraits, maybe I should try anytime.
And some process. The color scheme was a challenge, as initially I thought about black and white flames coming from the sphinxes, but red and blue worked better making a more harmonious palette.
Here are the first thumbnail ideas, considering the meaning of the card of balance, focus and movement. I was exploring different compositions, between something symetrical and more symbolic, or with a better suggestion of movement.
And just to show some of the process, here is the reference and art side by side. As my body type wouldn't be the most appropriate, I tried some Daz3D + Blender for the model.
