11. HANK BRIGHTMAN. he's the 18 year old son of the new farming family set up in the east of town. he is BEST FRIENDS with lily. he loves animals, and helping people, and men (but nobody knows that). we all love him very much :( love you baby boy (he's literally fine JSHDSJDH)

10. HECTOR SMITH. new in town with not a penny to his name, he has to earn trust and income alike before he can eventually obtain a home! he is humble, and very soft. loves sharing stories, reading "women's fiction", and his dog artemis. also a bit keen on the shopkeeper, eddie😳

4. JOHN CARVER. he's a local lawman, widower, and eddie's lifelong friend. he has a daughter of his own, but she lives in the city bc she doesn't like town life either. he is very quiet, and super socially awkward, but he is a good man and he loves eddie very much (platonically).

1. EDDIE JONES. you all know her already but best first, you know how it goes! she's a 43 year old victorian era storekeeper who is simultaneously trying to balance being a woman shopkeep before that was A Thing One Did, and being very shy and mild. she's a writer too! ♥♥
