A very special opening of Alice Neel: Hot Off The Griddle last night @BarbicanCentre. The exhibition is incredible and was so lovely to see so many people carrying a copy of our beautiful little book around with them 🌀
Käthe Kollwitz made a series of etchings depicting a mother mourning her dead son. She used herself and her own seven-year old son as models. Years later her son would died during the war.
