my demons possessed me while making this and by my demons i mean lovejoy because i have never once drawn hands that well

just realized the lovejoy anniversary is tomorrow so bringing this old sketch back to life. it was just some doodles i made when listening to the songs for the first time, and a bunch of little things strewn about relating to the lyrics. might try to finish this tomorrow

one of my favorite things to add to characters is scars. they tell so many stories and personality to a simple drawing, and i especially love adding them to characters as significant events or wounds happen, showing their growth/progression
lightning scars are my current struggle

man i love art but wow does it hurt. i rarely ever finish pieces, but god damnit i am so dedicated to finish this one. probably won't be done this week because i'm really busy though T^T
