Joined the PBBY-Alcala Prize. But didn’t win. “Umiyak ang bahay namin pagkaalis ni Papa. Nagsimula ito sa unti-unting patak ng tubig na dumadausdos mula sa bubong, kaya hindi namin agad napansin. Akala namin, ambon, o mahinang ulan.”
