timing myself doing this warm up for pricing purposes and so i have a better idea of how long it actually takes for me to do things. from blank canvas to this final pass (added the desaturated layer to check my values) it took about 2 hours total time not including breaks.

got my second covid shot and i’ve had a couple fever spikes and overall soreness so i’ve been trying to take it easy for a couple days. hopefully it passes soon so i can get back to finishing projects

i liked the idea of fusing the normal fire + lightning thematic by twisting it into volcanic lightning, an actual phenomenon. i used photo references to pull color palettes from to try a color scheme i liked
