Painted decoration from the 'lararium' (domestic altar), room 23, at the House of the Centenary in #Pompeii. It depicts the earliest known representation of #Vesuvius and Bacchus dresses in a bunch of grapes, alluding to the #wine production and fertile of the region #archaeology
The remains of stone walls and façades we observe today along the streets of #Pompeii were, in fact, full of colours. Can you imagine for a minute what it was to stand at a crossroad or at the entrance of a house, flanked by many graffiti?

The ongoing excavations in the industrial area have unveiled new treasures, announced today by @pompeii_sites. In one room attached to the stable found in 2018, at the end of 2020 another room was found. This space contained a wooden ceiling perfectly preserved and recovered
El curso de las excavaciones en la zona productiva nos ha legado un nuevo hallazgo, único, anunciado en prensa hoy mismo por @pompeii_sites. Junto al establo descubierto en 2018, a finales de 2020 se halló una espacio portado con un techo carbonizado perfectamente conservado
