But she reappeared (and the implied status of her relationship with Jackie was confirmed) when she appeared at a superhero pride parade in 2020’s Marvel’s Voices #1, courtesy of @LucianoVecchio!

Luckily, that thing happened to be Rintrah, a green-furred alien minotaur who’s the apprentice of Strange’s ally Enitharmon the Weaver, and he’s come to the good doctor’s aid!

In this issue, Namor battles the Lemurian king Naga, who wears the all-powerful and all-evil Serpent Crown! Namor is at Naga’s mercy, and is sent to die in a gladiatorial arena!

Now that I figure everyone’s had time to finish #MoonKnight, it’s time to do a deep dive into the origins of its surprise breakout star, the Scarlet Scarab!

We’ll start out with 1977’s Invaders #23, by Roy Thomas and Frank Robbins!

To the best of my knowledge, the next time the relationship was touched on was in 1995’s Spectacular Spider-Man #221, by Tom a DeFalco and Sal Buscema, when Ock tries to get in touch with her as he tends to a dying Peter Parker.

And so, one gaudy knock-off Spider-Man costume later, Spider Hero joins the Mighty Avengers!

(That’s the Superior Spider-Man, if you’re wondering why Spidey is being such a dink about this.)

His contributions to Marvel are almost too numerous to list. What If! The Invaders! The Scarlet Witch/Vision relationship!

Oh, and in the ‘70s he convinced the company to take a flier on licensing some space movie that basically kept the company solvent for the next decade.

Unlike a bunch of the guys we’ll see this week, the name of Paste-Pot Pete hasn’t been forgotten…because everyone’s always bringing it up to make the Trapster mad!
