In honor of Takahashi-sensei's question about her uncool old men characters, we thought we'd share some of them. This definitely refers to her short stories (which primarily focus on old salarymen the past two decades or so).
Here's Takahashi's drawing of many of the series she mentioned in her Twitter question today, Dororo, W3, Princess Knight from Tezuka, Osomatsu-kun Fujio Akatsuka, Obake no Q-Taro and Perman from Fujiko F. Fujio. #手塚治虫 #赤塚不二夫 #藤子不二雄 https://t.co/mlIVVomwgV
"Mao" writes his name "魔緒" with kanji which mean "evil spirit" and "beginning". However, if we bring Chinese into the equation, the Mandarin Chinese pronunciation for "cat" (猫) is "mao" (because Mao is possessed by Byoki, a cat).
I hope that helps clarify a little!
Got a request for some more Kagome and Inuyasha pics, so here's a nice rare one to share from mid-00's Newtype. #犬夜叉
