...everything you'd want from imagery like this. His new book is currently crowdfunding. I hope I don't upset him by saying this, but I'm a bit disconcerted that it hasn't funded already. Nord is a triumph of the indie scene and I can't fathom why the trumpets aren't fanfaring.
As for storytelling, he's learned at the feet of the masters. He gently leads your eye through each panel. You won't find anyone who can best him at continuity. His tone is somewhere between cinema and dream. It's delicious and horrific and symphonic and...
Lookit these pics from his newest book, Nord. They have a jewel-like quality. As though everything was lit from below the surface with its own internal light source. His imagery is so evocative that it tricks me into thinking it always existed. I haven't a clue how he does it.
Trying to get everything lined up for Gateway City Vol. III to be ready for Thought Bubble. Might have to do the Kickstarter after the fact. Thinking the cover for the GCQ No. III would be good for the full trade.
