Said creature is Spike, he's known as a Jaggweiler. They have a unique anatomical trait where they have "Ostachi" fluid instead of bones, able to malform and shape into anything they can think of, which in Spike's case is a fair bit.

This is Rose Carlisle. Personality is ditzy but determined and well-meaning. She's got a Guardian Staff that helps with her magic powers, and sometimes she punches people with a fist full of that magic

@StreakEvolution Spike could probably survive having his back broken, his Ostachi 'bones' could just deform into fluid and then solidify back into solids

Spike's solo kart would be the Sharp Turn. He'd be focused on good speed and handling, but middling weight and acceleration, with the Sharp Turn providing a slight boost on the former
