KEQING: 山楂, hawthorn
any snack made from hawthorn (there are a lot), because she dislikes experimental flavors and hawthorn is such a classic! in particular, tanghulu would be great because it adds a lil extra with the sweet exterior while still maintaining a bit of sour flavor
HU TAO: 旺仔牛奶, sweet milk drink
i’ve never actually tried this in my life but it’s ICONIC because of its annoyingly addictive ads where they always yell WANG WANG! tons of hu tao energy. just look at that face!
honorable mention: 琥珀桃仁, candied walnuts (bc of her name lol)
GANYU: 大白兔, white rabbit candy
i know she’s not a rabbit but the colors really fit her aesthetic okay? sweet and dependable like her <3
honorable mention: 牛奶棒, simple and sweet milk-flavored creamsicles! (fun fact: cryo qilin in cn sounds like the word for ice cream lol)
CHONGYUN: 旺旺碎冰冰, ice pops
these are basically colorful chinese ice pops (freezies? lollies?) except you snap them in half to eat. very fitting for our resident popsicle boy who’s calm and collected until he snaps! their ads often feature besties splitting an ice pop, hehe ;)
BEIDOU: 鱿鱼丝, dried cuttlefish
beidou’s a sea gal and super tough—this snack comes from the sea and is also pretty tough! :D better watch out, haishan, or beidou’ll turn you into jerky
honorable mention: 好多鱼, basically sea creature crackers. they’re cute (and have stars!)
