I was practicing the #SpongeBob oil paint style...and I chose violence!
6. Hands and feet. Hands and feet can completly ruin an otherwise gorgous piece for me! Don't even get me started on 5 fingered characters! Backgrounds can be hard, but I sometimes have 3D assistance with those. Animals can be tricky too.
5. How often do you use references.
All the time, especially if it's a character I haven't drawn before. I even use model sheets for my own OCs. Though when making 3D SpongeBob art I use stock art as reference. Since it's good practice for stretching the models!
