I love how instantly as soon as he see's XY his whole demeanor changes, he's not shy or worried anymore it's all just anger (that let his happen) and the need to protect Xingchen without alerting him

Look at his hesitance and insecurities when asked if he's Xingchen's friend and if he wants to go inside to see him, it hurts my heart that he doesn't even think he can call himself a friend to Xingchen, I imagine if he didn't see xy he'd leave w/o seeing xxc
