Lastly 4. Marker & Mixed Media. Finally getting control. Woven masking and starbursts!

3. Marker & Fabrano. Shadows and glows. All of these are left raw from scan for the most part, by the way. Note: Marker paper is the best for inking but warps like hell with watercolor.

2. Fabrano and Mixed Media: Getting used to the airbrush, less sloppy. Tried layered masking effects and a solid color backdrop. So fun! 4 more tests left.

1. Bristol: First time using the airbrush, still sloppy and trying to get a feel for the tool. Tried a gradient and a stencil.

I was able to gift her this illustration I made of my favorite work of hers (& favorite comic entirely), her reaction was so heartwarming!
