I should be prepping for my panel in 5 hours, but I'm too busy thinking about these dorks.
@karlrolson @BlissWallpaper @RiderStrike @bunnycartoon @Blacotaku1 "This says it's from the creator of Sakura Wars! How can I go wrong?!"
I'd argue 90% of the OG Sakura Wars cast fits this idea. It's part of why I've long said a dub just can't work on the originals. You'd lose that connection.
However, I have to give particular highlights to Chisa Yokoyama as Sakura Shinguji, and Michie Tomizawa as Sumire Kanzaki. https://t.co/0n9qlJ9jZD
Naturally, there would be conversations, using the LIPS system we all know and love.
Archiving the Sakura Revolution Twitter media has been so bittersweet - on the one hand, you get to see just how much stuff got tweeted out. On the other, you realize that these dorks are going to be disappearing forever. D: #SaveTheDorks
Should add this is a fantastic cosplay reference, as just a *ton* of iconic outfits and costumes have colour references and colour images. \o/
I scanned everything in at 1200 DPI, so it's a perfect high-rest representation of every page.
Next up it's the duo of Sumire Kanzaki and Kanna Kirishima. \o/ Sorry, Sumire, the Imperial Combat Revue's TOPPPPP Star is sharing the spotlight this time. :0
Here we go... distributed in the press kit from the Sakura Wars World Project media junket in 2002, along with the original planned key art for the remake.
@ZackDavisson I love how they always pick the most grotesque, "this was even censored on broadcast at midnight in Japan" shows that sell a few thousand BDs to otaku, but completely gloss over shows that are straight-up cultural institutions like Chibi Mariko-chan or Sazae-san.
