This painting is on the smaller side; which tbh suits something about how I like to apply paint. I once learned that you should know the smallest face you can draw, and scale woke accordingly for assignment illo. But I’ve never thought of the size face you prefer draw.

I did a full color study for this first, which took longer than the actual painting
