Sonic Forces (from Sonic the Hedgehog series) shown less story events between Shadow the Ultimate Lifeform, Infinite and the Jackal Squad. But let's hope a new Sonic 2022 video game will show more story events between Shadow, Infinite and the Jackal Squad soon.
Here's the reason why Infinite still wants revenge on Sonic the Hedgehog and Shadow the Ultimate Lifeform:
1.) Shadow killed the Jackal Squad (Infinite being weak)
2.) Sonic and the Rookie/Avatar/Custom Character defeated him with heart, soul, friendship, and teamwork
I hope the new Sonic the Hedgehog 2022 video game could explain more stories, origins, and history of how and why Shadow the Ultimate Lifeform defeated Infinite and the Jackal Squad during the events of Sonic Forces in the first place.
In Sonic Forces (Episode Shadow): What if... Shadow the Ultimate Lifeform (from the future/present) went back in time to stop Infinite and the Jackal Squad in the past for some reason?
Hint: Similar what he did to Mephiles the Dark (from Sonic the Hedgehog 2006)
