Speaking of Sonic artwork that I love, Jay Axer's frontpieces from the early 00s era of the Archie comics rule.

I love them, and I absolutely love how their dynamic was written in this comic.

The Sonic 30th anniversary comic really said Sonuckles rights, huh?

The art direction for the Sonic series really should embrace that surreal 90s flavor. I am thoroughly sick of the bland modern art direction, it is such a downgrade.

Also; Archie Shadow was infinitely better than IDW Shadow. If you want definitive proof that Sega are the ones fucking up his characterisation, just look at these two panels, written by the SAME writer.

Glad to see I'm not the only who read Sonic in the 30th anniversary comic with OVA Sonic's voice. His entire characterisation in the comic gives off SUCH OVA vibes, I love it.
