You can now view all of the paintings in our forthcoming Neil Pinkett Down to the Sea exhibition on our website, where you’ll find atmospheric beauties such as ‘Heavy Swell Brooding Sky’ which was the first to be acquired from the collection.
Show opens 22nd March don’t miss it!
Someone bought this beauty of a painting of people walking across to St Michael’s Mount by Neil Pinkett from our winter exhibition yesterday. And it’s jolly good timing as it’s Neil’s birthday today so a very happy birthday to Neil!
‘Sun Through Cloud Over The Brisons’ by #NeilPinkett
Neil was born in St Just and grew up with The Brisons as the backdrop to his childhood. It’s no wonder he is able to produce such evocative and beautiful paintings of this place he knows so well.
Exhibition runs until 1st May
‘Evening Drama’ by #NeilPinkett
This painting is the first to sell from Neil’s forthcoming exhibition ‘Water’
For anyone interested in seeing a preview of the paintings in this eagerly awaited exhibition (they are breathtaking in the flesh) head on over to our website
‘To the Tor’ by #FionaMillais
“I love the connection between the natural rhythms of the land and how it reflects our presence or the lack of it”
Fiona’s great-grandfather was Pre-Raphaelite painter, Sir John Everett Millais.
You can see this in our current Winter Collection.
‘Girl with a Young Seagull’ by #janetlynch reminds me of the time a baby seagull used to pop into the gallery every day to visit me and gallery dog Ghibli.
You can see Janet’s paintings on our website and in person at the gallery throughout December
‘The Island’ by #DaphneMcClure will be staying in Cornwall after the exhibition ends, with a local collector.
You can see this painting and all the others in the show from Tuesdays - Saturdays 10 - 5 and view them, along with our interactive 3D virtual tour on our website.
The wonderful ‘Sun and Rain over St Michael’s Mount’ by #AlasdairLindsay will hopefully bring a little bit of a lift to your Monday.
I love how the details in this composition are at the edges of the frame, including St Michael’s Mount which is being deluged by a passing shower.
This beautiful large canvas by #NeilPinkett was acquired yesterday by a collector of his work and is going to be a present for someone’s 60th birthday.
Lucky them!
You can see this piece along with all of the other paintings in Neil’s exhibition ‘Fleeting Shadows’ on our website
I thought I’d share Cloud Shadow by #NeilPinkett with you today. Painted at Cape Cornwall, St Just, it looks out over a dark sea to clouds scudding past The Brisons (in Cornish: Enys Vordardh, meaning breaker island)
It’s an extra special place for Neil as he was born in St Just
