The late Toshinari Yamashita is the creature designer for Beheneko airing this season https://t.co/C3fODuRFst
This show is still supposedly on for 2025 but the Twitter account hasn't posted anything since the delay announcement in June. Given the current state of Yokohama and the fact that Kazuya Aiura is the director (I like Aiura, but he seems to be trouble for a schedule), who knows..
This trio wrote a lot about lots of topics, so you should read the whole thing if you're interested!
As the token overseas leach (humorous), I'll repost Hiroto Nagata's 長田寛人 storyboards (C15) and enshutsu (episode director) drawing correction for the Quintuplets~ OP https://t.co/6RzPC6Ld83
Comp on this doll cut is changed
This sequence has the same drawings, but in the WEB version they freeze on this frame for a longer length of time. In the TV version, they freeze on her closed mouth and open smoothly all the way instead
The Battle of Algiers (1966) directed by Gillo Pontecorvo
There's a lot to like about this film not considering its subject. The newsreel style, on-site principle photography (and cinematography in general), lack of "proper" actors besides Mathieu/Massu, etc.
Great stuff
Kazuki Kawata has done like 6 (including an upcoming one) copyright illustrations for Luminous Witches in the past year or two. Interesting since he didn't participate in the series itself
These four are all supervised by CD Kazuya Shiotsuki
I Am What I Am (2021) directed by Sun Haipeng 孙海鹏
I heard there was controversy in China over the "exaggeratedly" slanted eyes, but I vibed with it and think it's cool. It doesn't wade into stereotypical caricature by any means, so I agree with producer Zhang Miao. Fun movie
