Surge and Kit actually DO evolve in ways he didn’t foresee. They see the cycle too. But where Starline could only blame the nature of the world for this cycle, Surge and Kit can blame HIM. He IS the cycle now.

Sonic’s ultimate power is shown over and over to be his empathy. With enemies yea, but more importantly with his allies. Not only does he know how to talk to people, he knows how to help them be better versions of themselves.

Tangle is a high energy, endlessly positive, young protagonist type that would be at home in a 90s platformer or Saturday morning toon.

Whisper is from a Shonen manga that already did a time skip. We meet her already having been through massive trauma.

They recoloured her in some reprints and I DON’T know why and I DO hate it.
