In my experience as a TA it’s actually really easy to spot when someone uses ChatGPT to generate their answer, because the students who resort to using it don’t understand the material enough to know what to ask it, so they end up answering the wrong question and getting no marks

I just want my courses to be OVER I stg I started this degree to do RESEARCH and not to spend all my time and brain power doing EVEN MORE COURSEWORK LIKE WTF WAS MY UNDERGRAD FOR???

I’m doing a couple journal club presentations next week, and honestly I’ve really enjoyed them so far. It can be really hard to distill super-specific science jargon down to something understandable, but these are good opportunities to practice doing exactly that!

I appreciate when profs ask for double-spaced papers cause it always makes me feel like I’ve written a lot more. Oh my paper needs to be 10 pages long? BAM! Double-space that sucker and I’ve just written 5 pages in 0.2 seconds. Satisfying af 😤
