In Sonic X #31, Eggman is seen taking forty cakes (which is as many as four tens).
This is a reference to the heinous crime of Lex Luthor, seen in DC's 1978 book, "The Super Dictionary".
In the April 1995 edition of Sega Video Magazine, prototype footage of Tails' Skypatrol is shown. Tails appears to be fighting Disney's Pete instead of Bearenger.
Tails' Skypatrol was originally not a Sonic game, with this character implying it may have been a Mickey Mouse game.
And after that, he became one with his battleship, the Egg o' War, which was subsequently sunken by Burning Blaze.
He turned out okay at the end, reviving at the bottom of the sea.
Not that it ultimately matters with Archie's Sonic comics being cancelled some years later.
In the Archie comics, one particular Metal Sonic unit would find itself destroyed in the Sol Dimension. Much later, he would be rebuilt into Captain Metal.
Captain Metal would eventually find his end from Burning Blaze, being reduced to a melted lump of metal.
Sonic and his siblings Sonia and Manic all share the same voice actor, Jaleel White. He is best known for his role as Steve Urkel in the show Family Matters.
It wouldn't be until Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 where Sonic would be drawn properly to match the Puyo Puyo art style for the first time.n
Sttangely, Eggman's Puyo sprites have various minor changes from their source render, mostly perspective differences. The third sprite shown appears to be a mix of two renders at once.
Unless if I am mistaken, the last sprite here is entirely original with no source render.
E-102 Gamma and Shadow the Hedgehog (game) were conceptualized as a response to Sonic fans sending letters to Sega about wanting them to give Sonic a gun.
Shadow is the most realized this concept has ever gone, and likely ever will go in a main series game.
There is a strong possibility that Shadow owns a chao of his likeness, as he is featured in various pieces of official art with seemingly the same chao.
There is even a Funko Pop figure of Shadow holding the chao.
