In Sonic & Mega Man's crossover "World's Collide", Dr. Eggman and Wily experience a great rift in their relationship after learning the core difference between them.
Wily wishes to stand above his foes and laugh at their defeat, while Eggman wants to annihilate all opposition.
When considering what has happened to Shadow in Sonic Adventure 2 and Heroes and Sonic himself in IDW #29-31, it would appear that blacking out in the middle of one's Super state may result in memory loss.
