Day 27: Shadow

‘Kuroko’ are stagehands for theatrical performances like Kabuki or puppet shows. They are fully in black to blend in with the background but nevertheless play an important part.

I also think they look cool.

Day 26: Tombstone

At Japanese gravestones, offerings left for family members are often pillaged by hungry crows and ravens.

I have seen a crow open up an offertory nut packet and unapologetically eat them.

Day 22: Potion

I was told by my wife that this reminded her of the evil Sailor Moon scientist, Doctor Tomoe which I haven’t heard of before.

Watching some clips now and realising how awesome he is and now he my new persona I must inflict on my students.

My favorite sports day event is the calvary battle. (騎馬戦 Kibasen)
Look it up! At my school, the headband was replaced by a crown for the final death match, worn by the strongest team of each side.
