32. the pick of controversy: Bioshock Infinite! inspired me to make something set in a caricature of America, but do right by that (i.e. dont make the "resistance" be "as bad as the oppressor" in the narrative eye)
also Booker's fit directly caused Reah's iconic fit from Ch.7
30. the art of Matt Rhodes for EA's thrall Bioware, in the Dragon Age series. his way of simplifying silhouettes and shapes into something easily readable from afar has been making me strive for the same goal
... which i use as template and inspiration for the leashed imperial power, the exalted, and the super-human in my own works.
19. Nomura Tetsuya's art for the Kingdom Hearts and Dissidia Final Fantasy games! burden of my teenage years! theres much more of these in my comics than i would ever openly admit.
16. we need to talk about Bloodborne. you all saw it coming. the costuming in this game really inspired the whole aesthetic of Norra in Souls Foreclosed: a gothic wasteland, victorianism dialed up a notch into the absurd.
13. another recent one, more directly tied to Souls Foreclosed: the video game Blasphemous, and its deep cuts into the visual language of catholic mysticism. merciless.
